A day of calm in Chester, Nova Scotia (and the spa everyone raves about!)

Sensea Spa

Hi ,
The next stop on our Nova Scotia road trip was Chester, little seaside village on Nova Scotia’s South Shore inviting you to slow down.
We started our morning at The Kiwi Café, where the coffee was so good we went back for seconds. Then we wandered the flower-lined streets, browsed local art and linen boutiques, and lingered over lunch at The Foc’sle Tavern — Nova Scotia’s oldest pub.
But the real magic came in the afternoon, tucked in the forest beside a still lake at Sensea Nordic Spa. Steam, saunas, cold plunges, and hammocks swaying under the trees… this place is pure serenity.
If you’re planning a Nova Scotia road trip, make sure Chester and Sensea Spa is on your list — even just a day here will leave you feeling refreshed, grounded, and completely at peace.
