A Personal Note on Holiday Travel 🎄✈️

Hi traveler!
As the holiday season kicks into full swing, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on what travel means during this special time of year. For many of us, it’s about coming together with loved ones, creating new memories, and savoring the magic of the season in places near and far.
Traveling during the holidays holds a special place in my heart. From bucket list moments at Victoria Falls to cozy road trips to visiting family and exciting getaways filled with twinkling lights and festive cheer, it’s a reminder of why we started yTravel Blog—to inspire moments like these.
While holiday travel can sometimes feel chaotic (hello, packed airports and traffic jams!), it’s also an opportunity to reconnect with what matters most: spending quality time with those we care about and embracing the joy of discovery.
Making it about memories and moments rather than material possessions. I’m well aware of the irony of me writing this now with browsers opened beside me as I scout Black Friday deals. I’m sure you’ve been inundated with mail about them this morning! With teen daughters it’s hard to escape this side of the holidays; I’m grateful we’ve had years before this making the season about exploration and togetherness. I miss it, but there is a season for everything, and after decades of endless travel, our season is now one of being still and normal.
This year, whether you’re heading to a snowy cabin, escaping to a sunny beach, or simply staying close to home, we encourage you to slow down and savor the moments. It’s not just about the destination—it’s about the stories you create along the way.
We’d love to hear about your holiday plans! Where are you going, or what traditions are you most looking forward to? Drop us a reply or tag us on social media—we love seeing your adventures.
Wishing you safe travels, plenty of joy, and all the magic of the season.
Happy holidays from our family to yours!
Warmly,
Caroline
