Belize’s Best-Kept Secret: A Resort Hidden in the Jungle

This is Tourism done RIGHT

Hi ,

After traveling to nearly 60 countries and staying in some incredible hotels, I didn’t think I could be surprised anymore… and then I discovered Hidden Valley Wilderness Resort in Belize’s Maya Mountains.

This isn’t your typical luxury stay. Hidden Valley is a 7,200-acre private forest reserve where you can:

✨ Stay in villas with hammocks, plunge pools, and fireplaces
💦 Swim in your own private waterfalls on the preserve
🍽️ Savor exceptional Mayan-inspired cuisine with dishes created by a Belizean celebrity chef using organic ingredients sourced within 15 miles
🌿 Explore 100 miles of trails and waterfalls with expert local guides
💫 Support a non-profit resort whose mission is to sustain the land and community around it

This place is tourism done right - I am so thrilled and honored to be in a position to share it with the world. I’m certain that Hidden Valley is a place I’ll return to again.

I wrote a full review of our experience here—it’s one of those places that nourishes you deeply and stays with you long after you’ve left.

If Belize is on your bucket list, I can’t recommend this hidden paradise enough.

With gratitude,
Caroline

The challenge of being an entrepreneur is you never know what each day is going to bring. The beauty of it is, you never know what opportunity each day is going to bring.

Something wildly unexpected arrived in our inbox.

This week, former Australian prime minister, and now Ambassador to the US, Kevin Rudd will be in Raleigh researching Australian businesses investing in North Carolina. We've been asked to interview him on our Raleigh podcast for an hour tomorrow!

It will be a light-hearted discussion on what brings him to NC, the job of an ambassador, as well as the US-Australia relationship in terms of people to people and business relationship, and of course some Aussie humor thrown in!

We have also been invited to the NC Governor's mansion for the formal welcome reception, where we'll host a fun social media video with Governor Josh Stein & Ambassador Kevin Rudd on Australian vs North Carolina slang. Thankfully we have met the Governor several times before so feel a little more at ease.

We’re so thankful for both the Ambassador and Governor teams who invited us to be a part of it.

Definitely nervous excited for this one!

P.S. In case you didn’t know, we have another site, ThisIsRaleigh.com that has become one of the premier platforms on living in Raleigh! So now you might be able to see why this opportunity came to these Aussies who love living in Raleigh!
