Hi Dreamer

As the calendar turns to a fresh year, there’s a special energy in the air. It’s a time for dreaming, for looking forward, and for setting intentions. One of my favorite rituals at the start of the year is writing down my travel dreams and bucket-list destinations. Not because I know exactly how they’ll happen, but because I know the simple act of dreaming opens doors I never imagined.

Here’s what I’ve learned: You don’t need to have all the answers when you start dreaming. You just need to claim your dreams and believe they’re possible. Trust me, solutions have a way of finding you when you let your dreams take root.

Take Vietnam, for example. As a young adult, I felt an unexplainable pull to visit. I was fascinated by the Vietnam War—the music, the stories, the lessons of that era. When I finally went, it was transformative. I traveled on a shoestring budget, staying in $5-a-night accommodations. I learned so much about resilience, history, and the beauty of a culture shaped by both pain and strength. Vietnam wasn’t just a trip; it was a chapter in my life that changed me forever.

This year, I’m feeling that same pull toward Machu Picchu. I don’t know why, but I’m listening to my intuition and adding it to my list. It may not make sense right now, but I believe places that call to us often hold valuable lessons or sparks of light we’re meant to collect.

Here’s how you can make your travel dreams feel more achievable in 2025:

  1. Write Them Down: Start with a list of places that excite or intrigue you, even if they seem impossible. The act of writing them down activates solutions.

  2. Let Paths Reveal Themselves: Sometimes it takes creative thinking or unexpected opportunities. I traveled Europe because I taught in London and earned pounds, making it easier. Vietnam became accessible because of currency exchange rates. And now, our travel blog fuels our adventures—a pathway I never could have foreseen.

  3. Be Flexible: Dreams don’t have to happen in perfect conditions. Budget travel, creative planning, or saying yes to the unknown can lead to the richest stories. Adventure doesn’t require luxury; it requires heart.

Where is your soul calling you in 2025? Big or small, write it down and watch the magic unfold. Let’s make this the year your dreams take flight.

Reply to this email and share one destination you’re dreaming of this year. Let’s inspire each other!

Here’s to your next great adventure, one dream at a time.
