Where the Sea Meets Serenity: Peggy’s Cove + Oceanstone Resort
Nova Scotia's most iconic attraction

Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse

Hi ,
Next stop on our Nova Scotia road trip was the iconic Peggy’s Cove - and the lessor known - but soul-welcoming Oceanstone Resort & Spa (yay! more cold plunging!)
We’d heard about this tiny fishing village — just 45 minutes from Halifax — and thought it would be a quick photo stop. You know, the famous white lighthouse on the granite rocks. But you know we’re always going to explore a little further than the quick photo stop away from the crowds and the norm.
We wandered the narrow lanes lined with colorful houses, popped into local shops like Holy Mackerel (one of my favorites for handmade Atlantic Canadian finds), and enjoyed coffee and muffins at Margaret’s Café, housed in an old family home turned cozy café.
And nearby we discovered a hiking trail along the rugged coastline away from the lighthouse crowds.
By evening, we settled in at Oceanstone Resort, just five minutes down the road — a dreamy seaside stay where time slows down. We spent the next morning at their Hydrothermal Spa, cycling between hot saunas, cold plunges (including in the ocean, and ocean air, feeling my body and mind reset in the most natural way possible.
If you’ve ever dreamed of a trip where you can balance exploration and relaxation, this part of Nova Scotia captures it perfectly — the wild ocean energy of Peggy’s Cove paired with the soothing warmth of Oceanstone’s spa.

See you on the next leg of the journey
