Why this work continues — and why I’m sharing it now

Hey
If you’ve followed me for a while, you know travel has always been about more than destinations for me — it’s been about freedom, choice, and designing a life that feels aligned.
That love for travel is also what led us to create yTravelBlog all those years ago. What started as a way to document our adventures became a business that’s sustained our travel dreams for over 15 years, while also allowing us to contribute meaningfully to others through the stories, resources, and inspiration we share. More recently, through This Is Raleigh, that same desire to contribute has taken on a very local form, supporting and connecting our community in deeper ways.
What I don’t talk about as often is what the (sometimes wild) entrepreneurial journey behind all of this has taught me about myself.
Building businesses, navigating uncertainty, and moving through seasons of growth and contraction revealed patterns I couldn’t ignore, especially around my relationship with money. The fears, pressure, questions of self-trust, and sense of safety it brought up became just as important as any external success.
That’s where this story really begins.
Years ago, I created something called the Money Cleanse.
At the time, my relationship with money felt deeply charged. It was tied to freedom, worth, safety, and pressure, often all at once. From the outside, I had built a successful business. Behind the scenes, I was cycling through feast and famine, carrying stress quietly, and constantly feeling like I needed to figure money out so I could finally relax.
The Money Cleanse was born from that season. It wasn’t theoretical. It was lived and tested through my own study and experimentation.
Over time, more than 500 women (and a couple of men too) moved through that work, and the results were meaningful — increased awareness, relief, confidence, monetary wins, and real shifts in how people related not just to money, but to themselves.
Here’s what Jill shared about her experience:
“Caz, I could go on and on about all the changes, little miracles, and benefits this program has brought me. It has cleansed my mind and turned my life around, and most importantly, it has brought me hope.”
Eventually, I put the program to sleep.
Life took over — traveling full-time, raising a family, relocating across continents, COVID, and everything in between. Stepping back was necessary, but I’ve often felt a quiet pull to return to this work, mainly because of the impact I saw it have, and the lives it helped transform.
The deep inner work and personal transformation I’ve experienced over the past 18 months made something very clear to me:
It’s time to bring this work back — now with more stability, perspective, and support behind it.
Because the truth is, the core of this work works.
The principles matter. The daily practices matter. And repetition — when approached with awareness — is what allows real integration.
What I’ve learned since then isn’t that the work needed to be replaced, but that it benefits from being held with more clarity, maturity, and support as we evolve.
Money isn’t something we “solve” once and move on from. It’s a relationship. And relationships change as we do.
As I continued my own journey — through expansion, contraction, rebuilding, and growth — my understanding of abundance deepened too. I could see more clearly how money challenges aren’t just about knowledge or effort, but about nervous system patterns, safety, and self-trust, especially during different seasons of life.
That’s why this next iteration exists and why it hasn’t evolved with me alone.
My dear friend and mentor Christina, who has walked alongside me through deep personal transformation over the past 18 months, has joined me to help hold and elevate this work to a new level.
The Abundance Reset is a continuation and refinement of the Money Cleanse with clearer language, deeper intentionality, and expanded support. The heart of the work remains the same, because it’s effective. What’s different is how consciously it’s now held.
If you’ve done the Money Cleanse before, many of the practices will feel familiar and often land even more powerfully when revisited with greater awareness.
This isn’t about fixing yourself. It’s about learning how to move through money cycles with intention, wisdom, and self-compassion, instead of repetition and self-judgment.
This offering exists because I’ve walked it. And because guiding hundreds of women through this work has shown me what truly supports lasting change over time.
Tomorrow, I’ll share what makes this reset uniquely supportive and why you won’t be doing it alone.
With love and light,
Caroline
